Résumé of Ramona Ogden, CPA - In Charge
Ramona graduated Magna Cum Laude from McNeese State University in December 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Accounting. She received several scholarships for academic achievement. She was on the President's list for nine semesters.
In February 1994 Ramona began working for Catahoula Parish School Board as payroll accountant. In May 1994 she completed the
requirements of the CPA examination. She joined our firm as a staff accountant in July 1997.
Ramona enjoys governmental auditing and has spent most of her time auditing governments. She has spent the majority of her
time auditing governmental entities in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, Government Auditing Standards, the Single Audit Act of 1984, and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Compliance Supplement for
State and Local Governments and OMB Circular No. A-128. Additionally, Ramona has performed audits in accordance with OMB Circular No. A-133 and program specific audits.
Ramona has worked in all phases of auditing including planning, internal control, balance sheet accounts, statement of
revenues and expenditure accounts, federal compliance, state compliance, and report preparation.
Ramona is currently a member of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, Louisiana Association of School
Business Officials and Government Finance Officers Association. She attended the 1996, 1997 and 1998 LASBO conferences. She has also attended other workshops and meetings on governmental accounting.
Ramona is familiar with many different software programs. While working at Catahoula Parish School Board, she used a payroll
system distributed by Software & Services of Shreveport. She has also used Windows 95, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), LotusSuite (Lotus 123 and AmiPro) and WordPerfect.
Ramona is a native of Aimwell, Louisiana. She enjoys reading, sewing and crafting.
